Before working on this area, this closet housed various items.  There was not a set system of organization.

This space is located behind the classroom morning meeting area.  It quickly became a "catch all" for materials.

After moving the items previously housed in this area to closets, we put a tub into each cubby.  This will now act as a storage hub for student materials.  Each student will have an individual tub where he/she can store workbooks, reading books, art supplies, etc.

After going through all of the items in the closet, we were able to purge a lot of items and move them into other closets.  We were able to put storage bins containing math manipulatives so that all of the items were in a central location.

All of the materials were either purged or stored in the closets.  The space is now clear with the exception of this tub that houses anchor charts.

This area now serves as the storage for Ziploc bags.  When students come in August, it will likely be full!

This closet is so much more accessible now.  All of the supplies are stored in different baskets and storage bins.  Everything has a place and very few items are stacked in front of others so you can easily locate items.

This closet is so much more accessible now.  Elizabeth already had a system in place before I came in.  I was just able to help clean the space and purge items so everything is separated by different mathematical skills.

Many of the items in this closet needed to be filed.  We also decided to store Elizabeth's instructional books so they are all located in one central location.
