In my classroom closets, I'm all about using storage bins!  They make life much easier for storing and accessing all of my materials.  This closet houses all of my instructional materials and games.

All of the materials are separated by subject and/or skill.  This makes it so easy for me or one of my classroom assistants to locate different items.

I made labels for each bin so that I or any of my classroom assistants can easily locate items.  The labels were made on the computer and then laminated for durability.

I am embarrassed to say that this was one of the closets in my classroom.  The rest of my classroom is neat and organized, yet somehow this closet just became a catch all and was neglected for far too long.  It is where I store all of my supplies, including: glue sticks, paper, markers, crayons, paper clips, file folders.  So... a pretty important closet that I need to access at least twice a week.

So. Much. Better.  I was able to sort through all of the supplies and store each in one location.  I had most of these systems in place beforehand, but I didn't stick to it when I got new supplies at the beginning of the year.  I re-worked some of the storage options so everything worked together.  Now I'm not embarrassed every time I have to open this closet in front of someone else! :)
