PANTRY | BEFORE
Shirley had some organizational systems in place already; however, items were often forgotten because they weren't easily accessible.
PANTRY | BEFORE
As you can see, Shirley had labeled the shelves for canned goods. Many of the other items were simply placed on the other shelves, making it hard for her to know what she had.

Shirley expressed that all of the pans on the bottom shelves were very hard to access because there was too much on each shelf. In order to access something in the back, all of the pans in front of it had to be taken out.
PANTRY | BEFORE
Shirley wanted all of these items to be easier to access and to have a system for how they were stored.

PANTRY | AFTER
Before I arrived, Shirley and her husband replaced some of the shelves that were warped and starting to sag. They also painted the shelves and doors to match the rest of the kitchen. This really helped to brighten the space and make it more inviting!

We used Omaha Stacking Bins from The Container Store to store most of the items. This will help the clients keep everything together and organized. The bins make everything easily accessible and are easy to slide in and out of the pantry.

I love how clean and organized everything looks! The Omaha Bins allow for Shirley and her husband to see what is inside as well.
PANTRY | AFTER
Shirley weeded through all of the pans and other appliances that were crowding the bottom two shelves. Now, she is able to see what is on the shelf and is able to easily access all of the items whenever she needs them! To organize the cans and kitchen wrap, I used the Gravity-Feed Can Rack and the Kitchen Wrap Organizer from The Container Store.

In order to help Shirley and her husband keep their new pantry organized, I created labels for each of the bins. I created the labels on the computer and then printed them onto blue card stock to help with durability. I also laminated them so they would last forever. I tied each label onto the bins with twine.

I love how Shirley and her husband are able to not only look at the label for guidance on what is in each bin, but they can also see inside without having to take each one off of the shelf. I am really pleased with how everything turned out!
